Brie Nutella Rolls | The perfect combination of savory and sweet all in one little roll

Brie Nutella Rolls | www.wineandglue.com | The perfect combination of savory and sweet all in one little roll

So do you want to hear kind of a funny pet peeve of bloggers? (And yes, I’m speaking for 100% of all bloggers right now, because I know every single one of them.)  When we hear someone say “Oh! I found the greatest recipe/idea/craft/etc on Pinterest!” Because as amazing as Pinterest is, it’s not a self sustaining entity. Most amazing recipes/ideas/crafts/etc . . . they come from bloggers!

Okay. Here’s the funny part. We do it too! (Again, I’m speaking for every single blogger there is or ever was.)

I have been totally known to say, “Pinterest just loooooves sugar!” or “I would do more crafts, but I don’t think that Pinterest is going to love it as much as my S’mores Fudge,” or “Those Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake Cookies went nuts on Pinterest.” As if there aren’t hundreds of thousands of catrillions of amazing Pinterest users who are pinning my posts and helping drive traffic to my blog.

By the way,

Thanks!!

So, I’m about to do it again.

During Valentine’s season, Pinterest looooooves Red Velvet. Pinterest eats it up and can’t get enough of it, with it’s sweet deep red strange flavor. As I mentioned when I made my Red Velvet Bread Pudding (which Pinterest devoured) . . . . I’m not a huge red velvet fan.

No, to me, Valentine’s Day equals Nutella. I’m not 100% sure why. Maybe because of his chocolatey richness or the fact that I could eat it by the spoonful pretty much everyday of the year. But there is something particular about Valentine’s Day that really makes me crave Nutella. Probably this post for Nutella Ganache explains it best.

So I’ve had Nutella on the brain lately. And when I asked on my Facebook page the other day what your favorite way to eat Nutella is, one of my amazing Facebook friends said in a crepe with Brie! Ummmmm . . . say what now??? That is just pure genius.

So FULL credit for this recipe goes out to that Facebook friend. It is simple, it is easy, it is perfectly delicious. And if you happen to be married to a really pregnant woman {cough} who spends most of her days chasing a toddler who claims that she hasn’t “pooted” but most certainly has pooted . . . then you are going to want to make a big plateful of these and surprise her with breakfast in bed on Valentine’s Day.

It’s the perfect non Red Velvet way to say I love you.

You had a genius idea when you came up with this recipe, Lisa! OMG. I want one now! Pinned!

You know, people saying they found something on Pinterest doesn’t really bother me. I think they most of them say that because that is where they initially found the recipe and Pinterest is easier to remember than however many blogs they visited that day. Now if they go make that recipe and still say they found it on Pinterest, well I got beef with that! LOL :)

Hope you have a good weekend, Lisa!

    • Lisa Longley says

Oh yea, Julie! I should have clarified. I don’t mind when people say they found something on Pinterest. It’s more when they refer to something as a “Great Pinterest Recipe” that I get my blogger undies in a bunch :) Thanks for pinning! (Lol!)

  2. Kate | Food Babbles says

I love you so much right now! These little rolls look like heaven on earth. I always pair Brie with jams. Love that you’ve paired it with the awesomeness that is Nutella. This is a little bit of genius right here.

      Thanks Kate!

These look amazing, Lisa! I’m not a fan of red velvet either, but THIS is my kind of recipe! I loved your other chocolate-cheesy recipe a while back too. Good stuff! Pinterest is going to love it ;)

  5. Jen @ Yummy Healthy Easy says

You have genius Facebook friends – I LOVE THIS!!!! I posted my first red velvet recipe of the Valentine’s season, but I truthfully totally prefer Nutella WAY more than red velvet! These sound so amazing! Can’t wait to try – pinned!

    • Lisa Longley says

I don’t know why, Jen, but something about Nutella screams Valentine’s Day to me! And yes, TOTAL genius!

  6. [email protected] says

I love the idea of these, Lisa…..the chocolate with the brie…..yummmm! Now if only I could have a glass of wine with them…!!!!

    • Lisa Longley says

Damn you Cathy!! I didn’t even think about how good these would be with wine! We need to revive book club after the girls are born and I will make these!

  7. bonnie says

These look delicious! I have rolled stuff up in those crescent rolls forever. I like various combinations of peanut butter, chocolate chips, jam and bacon. But the cheese really adds a new dimension!
