Well, it’s been a full year since I started blogging.

I actually hit that milestone last week, but I was elbow deep in Dulce de Apple Streusel Pies, freeing up Blogger space, Thanksgiving plans, and what was that last one? . . . Oh, right. Taking care of my kids.

Even though I’m not exactly on the ball with celebrating this anniversary, it is no less important to me.

I love blogging in a major way. Like, I’ve got it bad for blogging. Bad. I was about to make a bunch of cliched references to a teenage girl falling desperately in love with the bad boy, but that’s . . . weird.

I feel like I have come a really long way in the last year. Care for a quick visual recap?

Wouldn’t it be cool if when you clicked on a thumbnail it took you to the original post?? Okay . . . maybe I haven’t come that far.

In the last year, I’ve learned to do things I didn’t know were possible, and I’ve developed talents I didn’t even know I had. And even though there have been moments, many many moments, when I wanted to throw in the towel because spending so much time doing something you don’t even get paid for when you have a million other responsibilities to balance seems nuts . . . I’ve stuck with it.

This blog has become one of my favorite pastimes, and something I look forward to at the end of a long day. It never tugs on my leg, it never complains about the dinner I’ve made, it never rolls its eyes at me, and even when I neglect it, it’s always there waiting for me. Yeah, my blog is kind of like a dog. : )

And to celebrate this last year of blogging, I want to do a giveaway!! Actually, three giveaways.

I know I have some readers who are bloggers, and some readers who are friends, and some who are both, and some who are neither. So hopefully, these three giveaways offer a little something for everyone.

The first is more for the bloggers. A custom watermark! These are up for sale in my etsy shop, and for $5 you can have a file that you just add to any of your pictures very simply in PicMonkey or any other photo editing software. You can easily change the size, color, and transparency, and you can use it again and again and again. Want one?

The second giveaway is for one of my custom prints. One of the things I make is nickname art. It started when I wanted some custom artwork for Quinn’s room. I was going to make her something with all of her birth stats, but those are things that are written down in a million different places. What I don’t have written down? All those goofy little names we call her. And thus, nickname art was born.

Don’t have three million ridiculous names for your kiddo? Want to turn them into a dinosaur? Or maybe just hang some simple words that you say to them often?

It’s your pick. If you win this giveaway, you can pick from custom nickname art, a custom family saying, my twinkle twinkle little star print, or you can make your kiddo a dinosaur. Visit Humming Bird’s View to get the details on all the options. Oh, and enter to win!

Finally, maybe you hadn’t heard . . . Christmas is right around the corner!! Have you ordered your holiday cards yet? No? Oh good. Enter to win one of my custom ones!

You send me some cute family pictures, tell me which design you like best, and I send you the file, then you have them printed out at your favorite photo shop, and sit back an sip some eggnog! Simple.

A big huge humongous thanks to everyone who has been so supportive of me and this wild adventure over the last year! THANK YOU!

The giveaways only go until the end of the day Monday (12/3/12), so hurry!

And good luck!!

I’m so sorry, I was supposed to say which post was my favorite! Well, I’m sure once I taste the sangria that will be it, but I also really like the Baby Nickname Art! What a great idea! My kids are much older now {teens and early 20’s}, but I think it would still be very cool in their rooms!
