Oven Roasted Asparagus Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus washed and trimmed (see note)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set a side.
  • Place the asparagus on the baking sheet.  Add olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, and garlic salt.  Toss lightly.  Spread into an even layer.
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the asparagus is fork tender.

Notes

You can easily snap the ends of the asparagus off, and this allows you to make sure you get all of the tough end off.  If you want it to have a nice clean look, trim them once you've snapped them.
