Servings: 4 people
- 1 pound chicken tenders
- salt and pepper
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 1/2 cups corn flakes cereal
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/2 tablespoon sweet paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees.
In a food processor or blender, to make the breading mixture, combine the cereal, bread crumbs, salt, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Pour the flour out onto a large plate. Whisk the eggs with the milk in a medium sized bowl and put it next to the flour. Finally pour the breading mixture on a large plate next to the eggs. Place a large baking sheet next to the breading mixture.
Season the chicken tenders lightly with salt and pepper and working in batches dip them in the flour, then the eggs, then the breading mixture.
Spray the basket of the air fryer with cooking spray. Spray one side of the chicken tenders, then add them to the basket sprayed side down, and spray the top lightly. The chicken tenders should not be touching. They will likely need to be cooked in several batches, so start cooking as soon as you have 5 or 6 breaded. Cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until the chicken registers 165 degrees with an instant read thermometer. Remove and place on a plate and tent with foil until all the tenders are done cooking.
