Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust recipe unbaked
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 5 ounces evaporated milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted and cooled
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon table salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, evaporated milk, butter, butter, vanilla, and salt together in the bowl of a stand mixer. Beat until well combined.
  • Line a 9 inch pie pan with the pie crust. Pour the mixture into the crust.
  • Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until the pie has a small jiggle left to the middle. Allow to cool completely and then chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours before serving.
