CLAM CHOWDER

This New England Clam Chowder is the absolute best! This easy clam chowder recipe makes perfect comfort food for a cold night. Made with bacon, plenty of potatoes, and with just the right amount of cream, you will be a chowder master with my instructions for how to make clam chowder.

what you need:

• Bacon • Clam Juice/Chicken Stock • Clams • Onion • Celery • Garlic • All-Purpose Flour • Red Potatoes • Heavy Cream • Dried Thyme • Bay Leaves • Parsley • Salt and Pepper

Cook bacon until crisp. Drain juice from canned clams.

Cook veggies. Stir in the flour, coating the veggies and the bacon. Pour in the clam juice, whisking it into the flour veggie mixture.

Add potatoes, thyme, and bay leaves. Boil, then simmer. Cook until potatoes are soft.

Stir in the cream and chopped clams. Stir in fresh parsley. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
