Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9 by 13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef. Once it begins to break up, add in the onion and garlic. Cook until the beef is no longer pink and the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the tomato sauce and the taco seasoning. Turn the heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes.

Divide the beans amongst the hard shell tacos. Then divide the meat mixture. Top with the shredded cheese.
12 hard shell tacos, 1 cup refried beans, 2 cups cheddar cheese
Bake the tacos for 12 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is completely melted and the shells begin to brown. Top with chopped lettuce and tomatoes and enjoy!
