Garlic Aioli
Garlic Aioli is such a simple and delicious sauce recipe. Use it as a topping for your hamburgers or as a dipping sauce for fries. It's even amazing on vegetables.

- 3/4 cup light mayonnaise (see note 1 about using mayonnaise to make aioli, see note 2 about making this vegan)
- 5 garlic cloves minced
- 1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt (if using table salt, start with less)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
Whisk all of the ingredients together until smooth.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Enjoy as a dipping sauce for French Fries, as a burger topping, or enjoy with my delicious Crab Cakes.
- In traditional aioli recipes, the olive oil and eggs are emulsified rather than using mayonnaise. An emulsifier is used to hold two things that don't usually go together, like oil and vinegar, and is commonly used in salad dressings to prevent them from separating. Using mayonnaise in this aioli recipe is a way to make it quick and more accessible for busy families which is why we use it here.
- Vegan mayonnaise is easily accessible these days and a great swap to make this vegan or egg free for those with allergies.
