Grilled Asparagus
Grilled Asparagus is the perfect easy summer side. This recipe comes together with simple ingredients and grills up in literally minutes.

- 1 bunch asparagus washed and trimmed, see note 1
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest optional
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice optional
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt if using table salt, use 1/4 teaspoon
Preheat your grill to about 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place the asparagus on a baking sheet. Add olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, and kosher salt. Toss lightly. Spread into an even layer.

Transfer the asparagus to the grill using tongs (see note 2), with the thick bottom parts closest to the heat. Grill for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the thickness of your asparagus. Remove from the heat and serve.

- You can use a grill basket to help contain the asparagus, but I find it really simple to put the asparagus right on the grill grate.
