Pear Salad

This simple Pear Salad is absolutely delicious. Delicious pears sit on a bed of mixed greens with goat cheese, and it is all topped with homemade balsamic vinaigrette dressing.

Ingredients

For Salad

  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 2 pears sliced
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 2 ounces goat cheese
  • 1/2 cup candied pecans

For Dressing

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 1 garlic clove minced or pressed
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

For Salad

  • Toss the salad ingredients together. Serve with the salad dressing on the side.
    6 cups mixed greens, 2 pears, 1/3 cup dried cranberries, 2 ounces goat cheese, 1/2 cup candied pecans

Balsamic Dressing

  • Combine all of the ingredients together in a measuring cup or small jar. I like to use a frother to bring them together. For best results, make the dressing in advance and let it sit overnight.
    1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil, 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons honey mustard, 1 garlic clove, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon sugar, 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
