Prep Time10 minutes mins
Total Time10 minutes mins
Servings: 6 servings
- 1 1/4 cups blanco tequila (see note 1)
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup triple sec or orange liqueur
- 1/4 cup honey or agave (see note 2)
- 6 cups frozen strawberries
- 2 fresh limes for riming glasses
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar for riming glasses (see note 3)
- fresh strawberries for garnishing
Add the tequila, lime juice, triple sec, honey, and frozen strawberries to a blender. Blend until smooth. Using juice of a fresh lime wedge, gently coat the rims of the glasses. Dip the coated rims into sugar. Fill glasses with strawberry margaritas, cut a slit into a fresh strawberry and push that into the rim of the glass to garnish. Enjoy!
- Milagro Silver is my recommendation for a good mid-level tequila that is 100% agave. Patron is a perfect top shelf option, and if you need a more budget-friendly option, Sauza is great.
- Simple syrup works great here as well. You can replace the honey (or agave nectar) with 1/2 cup of simple syrup.
- If you love that combo of sweet and salty, you can rim the glass with kosher salt instead!
