Okay. If you are a mom living in the suburbs, and you just cleaned up a child who was covered in snot and marker for the eightieth time in one day (or is that just me??), stop for a second and think about where you were on Halloween 10 years ago. 12 years ago? . . . . 15 years ago? . . . . How far do we need to go back for this to be fun? I won’t tell anyone.

I am thinking back to Halloweens where I was Miss Teen USA (you really can’t beat a HUGE prom dress at GoodWill for $4), the year I went as my roommate and she went as me (she was super preppy in my kakis and I went goth . . . it was kind of awesome), the year I was a member of the Flinstone family . . . . {sigh}

And now . . . I’m a mom. Trying to throw together homemade costumes (like this Pikachu costume), putting up easy Halloween decoration, carving pumpkins, hauling kids around in the cold weather to go collect candy that I will never let them eat . . .

THANK GOD.

I’m so happy I’ve traded my crazy days (which in the grand scheme of things weren’t really that crazy) for a different kind of crazy. A crazy that involves snotty faces, marker EVERYWHERE, and costumes made with hot glue guns.

Anyway.

This printable. I sometimes find myself hilarious, and this was one of those times. I kept giggling while making this printable, and when it was done Gavin said, “Mom . . . . I don’t get it.”
