Almost two years ago when I went to the General Mills headquarters in Minnesota I was waiting for my cab to the airport after a fantastic whirlwind trip when I looked behind me and saw this HUGE epic wall that was all white with the names of all these brands in white as well. It was the names of all the brands that participate in General Mill’s Box Tops program, and it absolutely gave me chills. All these brands giving money back, one little box top at a time to schools all over the country.

I am by no means a Box Top clipping mom expert, but I aspire to be one. I know that our school and our kids’ educations needs every penny it can get. And somehow my kids get it too and are totally into clipping them!

Yes Quinn is wearing all purple . . . and sparkly shoes . . . and a crown.

I love it! Gavin attends, and Quinn will attend starting this fall, a private school. They go to school there because after very careful consideration, we feel like it is the absolute best education we can offer our kids. Public schools are epically important, but this was just the best decision for our family. And I can tell you after sending Gavin there the last few years, he is getting a phenomenal education. Annnnnnnd, they need money.

How much do you love that face?

This is something we have talked to our kids about a lot and I love to see them taking some responsibility for their school and being part of that community.

The Box Tops program has been very helpful to our school, in so many different ways. For example, it has helped off set costs associated with buying new laptops and iPads for educational purposes. It has also helped off set the cost of the Accelerated Reader Program, one of my favorite programs.

Did you know that certain products, available at Walmart, earn your school extra Box Tops? You can see on some of the items in this post that they have that special “5 Box Tops” label.

It was awesome to see Gavin run through the store helping me find products that our family eats anyway that will earn extra money for our kids’ school and their education.

He was particularly excited to find it on his very favorite cereal.

So, just to get you and your family excited about collecting Box Tops, I made this fun printable! It’s available in two sizes, a smaller size that is perfect for a tennis ball container, or a bigger size, perfect for a cereal box. You can see that the cereal box we put it on already got clipped, lol!
