If you are looking for a healthy dinner, pork tenderloin is always a great choice. Pork tenderloin is high in protein, low in fat, cooks up quickly while still being moist, and can be made in so many different ways.

In this recipe, we are using our air fryer to cook the pork quickly after smothering it in an easy-to-make sauce. The result is a flavorful and juicy pork tenderloin. You will love this simple and delicious dinner.

How to Make a Pork Tenderloin in The Air Fryer

Here is a brief overview of how to cook a pork tenderloin in the air fryer. For the full recipe, including all measurements, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post.

Make the Sauce

While your air fryer is preheating, mix the mustard, brown sugar, soy sauce, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small bowl.

Coat the Pork Tenderloin in the Mixture

Be sure to cover the whole tenderloin with the spice mixture.

Cook the Pork

Lower the temperature of the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the pork in the preheated air fryer basket and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until the pork reads 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Let the meat rest for five minutes before slicing for the juices to settle.

Tips and Tricks

  • Cooking temperature for pork: For pork to be cooked enough for food safety purposes, but not overcooked and dry, remove the pork tenderloin from the air fryer when the internal temperature of the thickest part reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Since the cooking time can vary based on your air fryer and the size of the pork tenderloin, the best way to know exactly when your pork is cooked is to use an instant-read meat thermometer. At this temperature, the pork will be tender and safe to eat.
  • My favorite air fryer: This is the air fryer that I have and love, and the one you see in the photographs. It cooks things so well and has a large basket!
  • Air fryer temperature: Because of the brown sugar in the sauce, you need to cook the pork at a lower temperature of 350 degrees. Most air fryers preheat at 400 degrees, and that is fine, but you want to lower it before you put the pork in.

Storing Leftovers

Store any leftover pork tenderloin in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat only the portion you plan to eat in the air fryer until heated through.

I have so many wonderful side dishes that would work well with this recipe. Here are a few of my favorites.
