We have a restaurant that we love to sneak off to for last minute date nights. We sit at the bar and order drinks and appetizers, and I always order their whipped feta dip. Don’t tell anyone, but I make a meal out of it.

After too many rounds of testing to count, I think I came up with a recipe that is even better than my favorite restaurant’s. It has the perfect consistency and most delicious tanginess from the feta and yogurt. It is amazing with veggies and pita!

How to Make Whipped Feta Dip

This 5 minute dip is so simple to make. The first step is to just blend together the feta and yogurt with the garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon zest. Then you just add in the olive oil until the dip is blended smooth. It couldn’t be easier.

Tips and Tricks

  • Use full fat-ingredients. This is one of the few recipes where I’m going to urge you to use full-fat. The recipe simply won’t have the consistency you want if you use low-fat yogurt and feta.
  • Use lemon zest over lemon juice. It is a great way to add that pop of lemon flavor without adding acidity or liquid from lemon juice.
  • Zest just the bright yellow part of the lemon. It’s important to avoid the white pith underneath. I love this lemon zester.

What to Dip in Whipped Feta Dip

Here are a few ideas of what to serve alongside this creamy, flavorful dip.

  • Fresh Vegetables: Crisp veggies like carrots, cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, or red bell pepper strips.
  • Pita Bread or Chips: Soft pita wedges or crunchy pita chips are classic choices.
  • Crackers: Choose sturdy crackers to scoop up the dip without breaking.

Storing Leftovers

This feta cheese dip can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. I recommend storing the veggies and pita separately. Give the dip a good stir if it has been sitting.
