A Limoncello Spritz is the perfect citrus cocktail. Just three ingredients over ice give you the most delightful and refreshing drink.

I love a bright and refreshing cocktail, and if it has Prosecco and citrus, it’s even better. This limoncello spritz is just that, and it is so incredibly crisp and tempting. It is believed to have originated from the Amalfi coast in Italy, and sipping on one is a great way to transport yourself there. Be sure to whip up a batch of my homemade limoncello to make it extra special.

How to Make a Limoncello Spritz Cocktail

Here is a brief overview of how this simple spritz cocktail comes together. The combination of sparkling white wine, limoncello, and club soda is sure to be a go-to for happy hour at home. For the full recipe, including all measurements, see the recipe card at the bottom of the post.

  • Fill a glass with ice. I love to serve spritz cocktails in large wine glasses.
  • Add everything to the glass. Add the Prosecco, then the limoncello, and finally, the club soda. Stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish and enjoy! Garnish each glass with a fresh mint sprig or lemon slice and enjoy.

Tips and Tricks

  • Make sure your bottle of Prosecco is fresh. Wait to open your bottles of Prosecco and club soda until you are making your cocktails so the bubbles are fresh.
  • Use chilled ingredients. To help keep the cocktail cold, chill your ingredients before making your limoncello spritzer.
  • Grab a sparkling wine you love. If you don’t like Prosecco, you can use your favorite champagne.
  • Adjust the flavor. To make it less boozy, use less Prosecco and more club soda. Add some fresh lemon juice for an extra lemon kick.
