Making homemade coffee creamer is easy to do! With just four ingredients, you can whip it up at home. It is sweet, delicious, and perfect in your morning brew.

Today, I’m giving you five additional flavors. They too are easy to whip up. Make a batch for yourself and more for giving to friends. This is the best morning treat.

How to Make Coffee Creamer

This is a brief overview of how to make this delicious recipe. For the full recipe with all of the ingredients and measurements, see the recipe card at the bottom of the post. Additionally, if you are looking for the other flavors, they are shown just below this section.

  1. Mix together the ingredients. Combine the half and half, milk, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla in a large measuring cup or a bowl.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together. Make sure the ingredients are well combined.
  3. Use right away. Or store in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Coffee Creamer Flavors

One of my favorite parts about this recipe is that you can make it in so many different flavors. I’ve done six simple flavors here: Vanilla, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Mint, Almond, and Caramel. But really the sky is the limit. There are so many things you can do with this base recipe.

You will notice that most of these recipes have a range when it comes to the flavor we are adding. I suggest adding the smaller end of the range, tasting it, and adding more to taste.

Chocolate Coffee Creamer

Chocolate Coffee Creamer is so easy to make and turns any cup of coffee into a mocha-style drink.

  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 14 ounces (by weight) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Whisk the cocoa powder into the sweetened condensed milk until it is well combined. This will keep it evenly suspended in the creamer.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk mixture to the rest of the ingredients, stirring well to combine.

Cinnamon Coffee Creamer

If you’ve never tried cinnamon in your coffee, it is a must! I love adding a pinch of it to my coffee grounds before brewing, but adding this creamer puts it over the top!

  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 14 ounces (by weight) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 – 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  1. Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and cinnamon. This will somewhat help keep the cinnamon suspended in the liquid, though you will still need to shake it before each use.
  2. Combine the remainder of the ingredients, stirring well to combine.

Mint Coffee Creamer

If you like mint, you will love this recipe. The subtle taste of mint in the creamer makes for a delicious morning treat.

  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 14 ounces (by weight) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons mint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Whisk together all of the ingredients until well combined.

Almond Coffee Creamer

I love the taste of almond extract! And it is the perfect flavor for coffee creamer.

  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 14 ounces (by weight) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  1. Whisk together all of the ingredients until well combined.

Caramel Coffee Creamer

Adding caramel to your morning coffee is such a treat. In this recipe, we are making our own homemade caramel sauce and then whisking it in after it cools a bit. So delicious!

  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 1 cup milk
  • 14 ounces (by weight) sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, and two tablespoons of milk.
  2. Bring it to a simmer, stirring often, and allow it to thicken.
  3. Let it cool slightly, then whisk it into the sweetened condensed milk.
  4. Finally, whisk in the half and half and milk.

Storing

This recipe will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week. As with any recipe, use your best discretion when it comes to leftovers. This recipe can be frozen. It is best to consume it within one month of freezing. Keep in mind that the leftovers should not be thawed and then refrozen.

This recipe makes three cups of creamer. If that is too much for you to use in a week, you can cut the recipe in half (though sweetened condensed milk can only be purchased in one size), or you can make the whole batch and share some with a friend!

These bottles that you see here hold about half of this recipe. I love the idea of making two flavors at once: a half batch of each.

Nagging my kids to clean up just winds up with me screeching my head off while they just look at me like I’ve lost my mind. My husband has to do clean up time. It’s torture.
Which this creamer is not. This creamer is heaven. I want it in everything!

  4. Andrea says

Where do you get vanilla bean paste?

    • Lisa Longley says

I like to look for it at stores like TJ Maxx, because you can usually find it for less there. But you can also get it on Amazon.

  5. Rachel says

When I was growing up we drank condensed milk in everything… coffee, teas etc. We even added it to snow cones/snow balls. This is so interesting as I can think of sooo many delicious options for this combination. I love vanilla and I love condensed milk for the memories. Thanks for sharing, definitely going to try this one.

Wow! That’s it? It is really super simple to make! My friend has always been going on about me trying out the homemade Vanilla Bean Coffee Creamer and I have always been pushing it off because frankly, I felt it would be difficult and time-consuming. But this recipe here has me thinking otherwise and honestly, my day is made! Really can’t wait to surprise my friend this weekend!

  8. Joann says

How long can you keep the coffee creamer for?

    • Lisa Longley says

This will last in the refrigerator for a week.

  9. Barbara Meador says

Sweetened Condensed milk is absolutely NOT on my diabetic food list… is there a way to create something similar without all the high sugars and extra calories? I have found a sugar substitute – PureCane – that is made from raw sugar cane without all the blood-sugar spiking problems. If I used that in place of sweetened condensed milk, how much extra milk product would I need to add in it’s place? Really need a solution to this problem. Thank you!! Barbara
