A Strawberry Banana Smoothie is the perfect quick breakfast. It is delicious, just four ingredients, and comes together in minutes.
I make a smoothie for breakfast just about every morning. They are so simple to make and leave me full and satisfied throughout the morning. If you are a smoothie lover like I am, you are going to adore this delicious banana and strawberry smoothie.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie Ingredients
Just four simple ingredients combine in this creamy and delicious strawberry and banana smoothie. Be sure to scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the full recipe, including all ingredients and their measurements.
- Frozen strawberries: I love keeping frozen strawberries on hand because they are picked at their peak freshness, washed, and have the stems removed so they can be added right to a smoothie. Using frozen berries also prevents us from needing to add ice to the smoothie.
- Ripe banana: Adds a natural sweetness and creamy texture to the smoothie. Frozen bananas also work great for smoothies.
- Milk: Blends everything together smoothly and adds a touch of creaminess. You can use regular milk or any non-dairy alternative like almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk.
- Greek yogurt: Gives the smoothie a boost of protein and makes it extra creamy and satisfying. It also adds a subtle tang that balances the sweetness from the fruit. I like to use plain Greek yogurt, but vanilla would also be delicious (and a little sweeter).
How to Make a Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Step 1: Combine all Ingredients
Add the banana, strawberries, milk, and yogurt to your blender.
Step 2: Blend Until Smooth

My Favorite Blender!
Variations
- Boost the protein: Add a scoop of protein powder to increase the protein content of the smoothie. This is my favorite brand.
- Make it non-dairy: If you are on a non-dairy diet, use your favorite dairy-free milk (I love using vanilla soy milk) and dairy-free yogurt.
- Increase the fiber: Add in a scoop of flax seeds or chia seeds. Both are good sources of fiber!
- Use fresh strawberries: If you are in the thick of strawberry season with fresh strawberries to use, use a frozen banana to thicken the smoothie instead.
- Add some greens: If you want to further increase the nutrition, add some baby spinach or kale.
- Add a sweetener: If you like a sweeter smoothie, or your kids do, you can add in a teaspoon or two of honey, maple syrup, or agave.
