These baked pork chops come together in less than 25 minutes, and they are so delicious. This is the perfect meal to make when life gets crazy.

We are deep in that stage of life where our kids have more plans than we do. Like, daily. Our schedules are a moving target, and sometimes it’s a lot just to keep track of where everyone has to be, let alone getting them there. Easy dinners are a must in our house, like I’m sure they are in so many of yours.
This baked pork chop recipe is perfect for busy schedules. The prep time is about 5 minutes – in fact, they will probably be ready before your oven finishes preheating. And they bake up in just fifteen minutes. They are the perfect answer to a busy weeknight.
How to Bake Pork Chops in the Oven
This is a brief overview of how this baked pork chop recipe comes together. For the full recipe, including all ingredients and their measurements, scroll to the recipe card at the bottom of the post.
Make the Pork Rub
Whisk together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to make a pork rub. This simple spice blend adds so much flavor to the meat.

Season the Pork Chops
Pat the pork chops dry. Rub the olive oil on both sides of the chops. Then rub in the seasoning mixture so it coats the pork chops.

Bake the Pork Chops
Bake the seasoned pork chops on a baking sheet until the thickest part of each pork chop registers 145 degrees Fahrenheit using an instant-read meat thermometer.

Tips and Tricks
- How long to bake pork chops: Nothing will ruin any pork recipe like overcooking it. Use an instant-read thermometer to know exactly when the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145 degrees Fahrenheit, which is when they are done enough for food safety purposes but not overcooked and dry. I recommend using this any time you are cooking pork chops, whether in the oven, on the stove, or in the slow cooker.
- Bone-in vs boneless pork chops: I love how tender and juicy this recipe is with bone-in pork chops. If you prefer boneless pork chops, you will need to adjust the baking time as boneless chops take less time.
Storing and Reheating Leftovers
Store any leftover pork chops in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat only the portion you plan to eat in the air fryer or oven until heated through. Always use your best judgment when reheating and eating leftovers.
