This delicious Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Noodle Soup is a great twist on my Chicken Noodle Soup. If you love Buffalo, you will love this great soup recipe.

How to Make Buffalo Chicken Noodle Soup

  1. Combine ingredients in the slow cooker. You will ad everything to the crockpot except the heavy cream and the noodles.
  2. Cook on low for three and a half hours.
  3. Add in the noodles. Turn the slow cooker to high and cook the noodles for a half hour.
  4. Shred the chicken. Take the chicken breasts out of the slow cooker and shred them. Then return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream. Then serve topped with blue cheese!

Spice Level

This recipe definitely has a kick to it! If you want to lessen the spice level, I suggest cutting the buffalo sauce down to six ounces. At the end of the cooking time, add in a whole cup of heavy cream instead of 1/2 a cup.

Substitutions and Variations for Buffalo Chicken Noodle Soup

  • Swap the noodles out. If your family doesn’t like egg noodles, you can exchange them for any noodles that you do like.
  • Make this recipe low carb. If you are eating low carb, take out the noodles completely and replace them with more vegetables. Broccoli, zucchini, or more carrots, are a great choice.
  • Make this recipe dairy free. If you have someone in your family that doesn’t eat dairy, an unflavored soy creamer would work great in place of the heavy cream!

      • Becca says

Do you put the chicken in raw? Or cook it first?

        • Lisa Longley says

Raw Becca. I hope you enjoy it!

  3. Joann says

This looks so good! It’s in my crockpot right now…can’t wait to have a bowl tonight!!

    • Lisa Longley says

Did you like it Joann?? I can’t stand the fact that my family doesn’t dig buffalo flavor! I love this soup so much, I could eat it once a week :)

  4. Sarah at the magical slow cooker says

OMG! My husband is the same way, lol. I LOVE anything buffalo, so I must try this soup soon! Nice to meet you!

    • Lisa Longley says

Thanks Sarah! I hope you love it!

  5. Sarah Chandler says

But if you cook with such finesse, I do not think husby would be that picky.

    • Lisa Longley says

Ah, if only it were that simple Sarah. When he and I met he’d never tried rice before. And he was in his 20’s. Now it’s one of his favorite foods. But I’m certainly not going to cook things for him that he’s tried several times and doesn’t like.

      • Margaret Donohue says

Lisa, this sounds delicious and I’d like to try it but I’m a bit stumped by “buffalo sauce”. I’m sending from Ontario, Canada and perhaps this is a U.S. staple but not here. What is this?

        • Lisa Longley says

I use Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo sauce, but buffalo sauce in general is just hot sauce with butter and garlic. There are lots of recipes for it out there, and its definitely worth experimenting to make your own. It’s one of my favorite flavors!

  6. cassandra montgomery says

This sounds so good……..a must try!!!!

    • Lisa Longley says

Cassandra, I would eat this once a week if I didn’t live with such picky pickersons :)

  7. Sandy says

Could I leave the chicken and everything In for longer? Say 8 hrs while I’m at work? Lol! Looks delish, I love ANYTHING buffalo

    • Lisa Longley says

Hi Sandy! The only parts of this recipe that are sort of time sensitive are the cream and the noodles, so yeah, I definitely think everything else could go for 8 hours. Enjoy!

      • Rayshelle says

Do the egg noodles go in raw or cooked?

        • Lisa Longley says

          Uncooked

  8. Lindsey says

Made this tonight!! It was delicious as described. Used a little more cream though to lessen the strength of buffalo flavor. Will make again!!

    • Lisa Longley says

Lindsey, it’s always so great to hear when someone liked one of my recipes! Thank you!!

  9. Jen says

Made this tonight. As I am counting calories, I am curious what a serving size is? I know you say it serves 6, but it would be nice to know without measuring how much it made and then deciding by 6. Thanks.

    • Lisa Longley says

Hi Jen! I’m counting calories too, and I love that this is only about 270 or something per serving. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact amount of a serving. I just gestimated that I could get six bowls out of it, and that was about right.

  10. Michelle says

Made this for the first time last night. We loved it. Any recipe that adds buffalo sauce to it, is a must have in this family. Even my 1 year old loved it. Lots of leftovers, so I am going to freezer for a later date. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Lisa Longley says

I’m so glad to hear that Michelle! Thank you for taking the time to come back and tell me!
