Our Samoa Milkshake is a really easy milkshake inspired by a Girl Scout Cookie favorite! Want the grown up version? Make our Samoa Martini.

When you can’t get enough of Samoa cookies, make a Samoa Milkshake! All the great flavors of your favorite Girl Scout cookie in milkshake form. And you can drink this all year long, even when that last box of cookies is just crumbs.

How to Make a Samoa Milkshake

This is a brief overview of this delicious recipe. For the full recipe see the recipe card at the bottom of the post.

  1. Combine the ingredients in a blender. Add the ice cream, coconut milk, and caramel sauce to a blender
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Serve the milkshake. I got these great milkshake glasses as a thrift store, but you can find them online as well. Top with whipped cream and toasted coconut.

Coconut Milk

Coconut milk is made from the liquid inside of a coconut as well as the flesh. It is typically very thick and needs to be shaken before measured. I typically find it in a can in the international food aisle.

You will want to avoid coconut cream. This is great in my piña coladas, but it has added sugar which isn’t needed here with the ice cream and caramel sauce.

Toasted Coconut

I love having toasted coconut on hand. It is amazing for topping desserts like my Samoas Poke Cake. But it is also really fun to have on hand as a topping for ice cream sundae bars. Toasted coconut is so easy to make, but if you don’t know how, I have a full tutorial in the link below.

How To Toast Coconut

Learning how to toast coconut is a snap. It is so easy to do and yields the perfect ingredient for so many different recipes.

Whipped Cream

You can make your own whipped cream to top this delicious milkshake. Whipped cream is super easy to make and is the perfect topping for everything from this milkshake to Sunday morning chocolate chip pancakes. If you are an avid chocolate lover, you might want to make some chocolate whipped cream for this recipe!

If you want it to pipe really pretty, you might consider making my stabilized whipped cream. It is thicker, pipes better, and won’t wilt after piping.

Whipped Cream

Homemade Whipped Cream comes together with only two ingredients and it is perfect for topping all of your homemade desserts and pies.

Best Blender for Milkshakes

I absolutely love my Ninja. It is a whole package that came with a bullet perfect for making smoothies, and a food processor that I use for everything from hummus to pizza dough. But obviously the blender component is perfect for whipping up milkshakes!

You deserve as many milkshakes as you want lady!! Pregnancy is tough business! This is pretty fantastic Lisa! I need a good excuse to have several myself!

  3. Dorothy @ Crazy for Crust says

Yeah, I kind of hated being pregnant…with just my one. That’s why there are exactly 3 pics of me pregnant and one is from really far away. :)

    This milkshake. You deserve 6!

  4. Brianne @ Cupcakes & Kale Chips says

Oh my gosh, I spilled stuff on myself all the time when I was pregnant. And this milkshake is kinda making me wish I were in the 3rd trimester of my first (non-gestational diabetes) pregnancy so I could drink about eight!

  5. Julianne @ Beyond Frosting says

This milkshake is so amazing! But you list, just makes me laugh! I have never been pregnant, but the closer in age I get to 30, the less eager I am to start having children.

  6. Cathy@LemonTreeDwelling says

Hahahaha! I love your list….I’m sure I could add some to it, but I’ll spare you my complaints on top of yours!! I could drink one of these milkshakes every night and feel GREAT about it….I adore Samoas and ice cream!!
