I promise to soon put up the gazillion pictures from Gavin’s Brewers Birthday Party as well as the How Tos on the gazillions of things I did for it. (It was totally worth it, but I must admit, I’m a little beat.)  Until then, I thought you might enjoy some . . .

Have you heard of this yet? It is really really easy to make, and I think it makes a cute stocking stuffer for the favorite drinker in your life. It’s also really easy to make. The original site that I got this from does a bang up job of explaining, but since I took these really colorful pictures, I’m going to go over it anyway.

I bought these mason jars from the grocery store, mainly so that I wouldn’t have to drag my kids to yet another store, but they worked pretty well. They hold 8 ounces, which is pretty perfect. My only complaint is that once you have actually sampled the Jolly Rancher Vodka, they are . . . ummm . . . a little hard to pour out of without covering your floor in sticky sweet Jolly Rancher goodness.

Next divide up your Jolly Ranchers, and put 12 in each jar. I ran short on the cherry, so I ended up needing to buy another bag. Lesson learned: buy two bags to begin with and just plan on making two batches. Lets face it. If some Jolly Rancher Vodka is good, more is better. Besides, this left me with one batch for me and one to give away.

You put 12 of each in each jar. The original recipe says that the vodka will make the candy dissolve over night . . . this wasn’t so much true for me. It took a total of a little more than 15 hours, and involved me shaking the vodka often.

But once they are all dissolved you can put on some gorgeous labels and give them out as cute gifts.
