Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken is an easy four ingredient slow cooker recipe. Turn it into sandwiches, eat it on salads, or turn it into a dip. You’ll love it.

In our house, there is nothing better than a fast and easy slow cooker dinner. We fall back on them all the time in our home; they make busy weeknights a breeze.
Crockpot Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches come together with just four ingredients in the slow cooker. They are incredible, and so easy to make!

How to Make Buffalo Chicken in the Slow Cooker
Combine the chicken, buffalo sauce, ranch seasoning, and butter in the base of your slow cooker. Cook on low for three hours. Then remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred it. I love to do this in the bowl of my stand mixer. Return the chicken to the slow cooker, toss it in the sauce and enjoy.

How to Eat Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken
- Make a Buffalo chicken sandwich topped with some Ranch dressing (or blue cheese dressing), or this Buffalo chicken version of a grilled cheese sandwich.
- Add Buffalo chicken with some lettuce, shredded cheese, onion, and tomato to a tortilla to make a Buffalo chicken wrap.
- Add it to a salad and top it with some ranch dressing.
- Make a Buffalo Chicken Pizza.
- Serve in tortillas or taco shells to make Buffalo chicken tacos.
- Turn it into buffalo chicken dip by adding 8 ounces of cream cheese and 1/2 cup of blue cheese crumbles after shredding the chicken. Then continue cooking in the slow cooker for 20 minutes so everything melts.
Storing and Reheating Leftovers
Store any leftover crockpot Buffalo chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat only the portion you plan to eat in the microwave or in a small skillet over low heat.
This recipe can also bee frozen. Store in a container with room for it to expand and freeze for up to three months. Allow the chicken to thaw in the refrigerator overnight before warming and serving. Always use your best discretion when storing and reheating leftovers.

How many calories does this meal have? My husband and I have been dieting so we are trying new recipes.
Apologies, Brandy! It is in there now!
Laz says
My crockpot doesn’t have a 3 hr. Low setting. It’s either 8 or 10 hrs at low. Do you mean 3 hrs. at high?
I’m really sorry, Laz. If you cook it on high for 3 hours, it will get very tried out.
